One of the most significant changes does not make headlines as often, but has had an impact on many people. Men have emotional stress and are no longer expected to put on a stiff upper lip, or grin and bear it whatever the circumstances.

Men are also more involved in their families, as society has seen women finally being seen as equals, men have been stepping up and taking more responsibility for their family. The old fashioned image of a male bread winner and the stay at home Mum was never as clear cut as was suggested, but has almost disappeared completely.

One area that men are more open about revealing their emotions is about having children. Infertility in men is not expected. Having a child is seen as straightforward, and often men have been educated in how to not have an unplanned child, rather than being prepared for fatherhood.
