My partner Michael went to see Mr. Beattie about a haemorrhoid that he suffered with for many years and wow what an amazing job  Mr. Beattie did. My hubby is like a new man now, being able to go for long road trips without taking any stops and no longer in any pain or discomfort. My hubby Micahel would like to give all his thanks to Mr.Beattie and his staff at Kingsbridge hospital for hospitality, support and professional approach.

Dear Mr. Beattie,

I hope you are well. I am writing to thank you for looking after me so well while I was in hospital for my operation back in July. Thank you also for arranging my various tests so soon after my colonoscopy at Whiteabbey Hospital. It was a big shock to get this diagnosis but because of your efficiency I didn't have much time to think about it for too long!

I am so thanksful you removed my tumour ni my rectum and also pleased that I did not have to have follow-up chemotherapy.

In my view you are a brillant surgeon and I hope that whatever the future brings that I will be under your excellent care. I am so grateful and thankful for all you have done for me.

Patient Testimonial

I was off work last December to get a gallbladder operation. I went to Kingsbridge Private Hospital and my surgeomn was Mr. Garth Beattie.

During a pre-operation questionnaire my health and lifestyle was asked about and I mentioned I do a walking tour in Belfast every Saturday and Sunday. Gareth said he would love to do that sometime (but everyone says that).

Six weeks after the operation I was back with Garth for a check up on hoiw everything was with my health and again he said, "I haven't forgtten, I will come on the tour someday." Good to his word he arrived on tour at the weekend and not only that he brought along two other couples. Thank you Gareth, I really appreciate the support.

Just a wee note to say it’s been a year since you carried out my fantastic haemorrhoid surgery and I just competed the Mourne Way full marathon at the weekend to celebrate! Never would have thought I’d get back to running 🏃‍♀️ (very slowly albeit!).
Many thanks again.!

Patient Testimonial

Dear Mr Beattie, I felt the need to put into words how much I appreciated the care and attention you afforded me during my recent procedure at Kingsbridge hospital.

What on paper looked like a straightforward and routine colonoscopy in fact turned out to be an extremely delicate and precise operation.

Despite knowing the potential risks involved and having explained them to me you/we made the decision to go ahead and take the biopsy on the (as yet to be confirmed) ulcer/tumour. You said in modesty at the review meeting was “luck”. I call it exemplary skill and judgement for which I am extremely grateful.

As we now enter this new 3 month period where we wait until I take the next set of bloods, CT and MRI scans it matters to me to express my gratitude for the work done thus far by yourself. May I take this opportunity to thank you in writing and to say should you wish to do so, please feel free to share this email as you deem appropriate.

Just a few words to express my gratitude for my recent surgery. In these uncertain times, where our Health Service is under immense pressure I truly appreciate the swift and decisive actions taken by yourself to facilitate my surgery.

Your knowledge, expertise and genuine car shown to me at a time when I was most anxious about diagnosis and treatment was exemplary. Thank you for your excellent care, I am happy to report I am convalescing well. KR. BW. 4th Feb 2021

"I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you thank you… you are one in a million, you really listen to your patients not as a doctor but as a person. Thank you for the immense change the bowel operation has meant in my life. Thank you for quite simply giving me my life back...."

Patient Testimonial

"I refer to my recent gallbladder removal operation… By way of background information I was extremely anxious prior to the surgery because I had waited in excess of one year for same. My gallbladder as Dr Beattie noted was ‘diseased’ and it’s removal was necessary. Dr Beattie was able to expertly ease my concerns due to his emphatic and understanding nature. Dr Beattie explained to me in great detail the entire surgery and all the risks associated with the same. At no point did I ever feel uninformed. My tricky operation was undertaken via key hole surgery and although my gall bladder was badly ‘diseased’ Dr Beattie successfully removed it without the necessity of open surgery due to his specialist skill and experience. And am very grateful that I was under the care of Dr Beattie.Overall my operation was a huge success with magnificent results. My recovery was rapid as my wounds have healed and my scarring is minimal. Dr Beattie provided excellent patient care and undoubtedly is a sincere, caring and highly skilled general surgeon. I cannot speak more highly of him. I am extremely pleased with the results and I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Beattie to anyone."

Patient Testimonial

"Thank you for your excellent work while performing surgery on me for my bowel cancer. I was very nervous prior to my surgery but thank you for explaining all the areas of the procedures clearly to me. I am feeling much better now and so thankful that there is no more treatment required. I also enjoyed your easy going manner and jokes. The Northern Trust is very lucky to have such a dedicated, caring professional working for them."

Patient Testimonial

It’s been just over 6 months since my gallbladder removal at Kingsbridge and I just want to say a massive thank you for changing my life! After suffering with pain, a limited diet and having a young baby to care for, the operation so far has been such a relief and helped me get back to myself.

I feel very lucky to have had my procedure with such a great consultant and especially through Benenden with your recommendation. Without your help, support and knowledge, I would no doubt still be waiting and suffering with those frequent, horrendous attacks.
